EAS Classroom Program Start Dates

The first EAS classroom program is slated to get underway on Monday, September 9th and will end on Friday, October 4th.

The 20 days classroom program is intended for adults with learning obstacles* and focuses on upgrading workplace literacy skills to help unemployed or underemployed individuals obtain lasting employment. 

Specific topics that will be addressed over the month will include:

Workplace literacy skills
- Communication
- Computers
- Reading skills and strategies
- Mathematics skills and strategies

Employment-related topics could include:
- Resume development
- Job coaching and job searching
- employment placement
- establishing career directions
- interview skills
- information interviews
- job shadowing, work experience
- labour market surveys
