The EAS classroom program is in its second month of the fall term. There will be 8 monthly classroom intakes through to May of 2016. The 20 days classroom program is intended for adults with learning obstacles* and focuses on upgrading workplace literacy skills to help unemployed or underemployed individuals obtain lasting employment. Specific topics that will be addressed over the month will include: Workplace literacy skills - Communication - Computers - Reading skills and strategies - Mathematics skills and strategies Employment-related topics could include: - Resume development - Job coaching and job searching - employment placement - establishing career directions - interview skills - information interviews - job shadowing, work experience - labour market surveys Cost: free. After 10 great years with EEPS, Mykael Sopher has taken a position with the Seven Oaks School Division continuing in the Adult Education field. Myk will continue to do the occasional assessments with us here at EEPS. Good luck Myk! Eric Fast has returned to EEPS as a tutor and EAS instructor. Eric worked with us for 7 years before leaving to spend the last 6 years working in Africa. We welcome back his positive energy and love of teaching.
