Director
Roger
Groening
:
B.A.;
B.Th.;
M.Ed.
Roger
holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University
of
Manitoba, majoring in special education and counselling, specifically in the field of
learning disabilities. He worked as
a Support Services Counsellor for students with learning disabilities at Red River
College
for six years and as the Student Services Co-ordinator at St. Boniface Diocesan
High School. Roger is the Director
of Education and
Employment Preparation Services,
a private educational services provider specializing in services for adults with
disabilities. Roger completed a
project for the University
of
Winnipeg Disability Student Services Office, writing a Learning Specialist Manual. Roger
also authored a Preparation Program Curriculum guide for Post-Secondary Students
with Learning Disabilities. He has
been active with the Canadian Guidance and Counselling Association and the
Association of Higher Education for Adults with Disabilities.
He is a past member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Manitoba
board, acting as the Education and Employment Concerns Chairperson. Roger has
also served as the Chairperson with the Education Committee of the Canadian
Centre on Disability Studies.

Carl
Enns; B.A.;

Carl
currently holds Bachelor degrees in Arts, majoring in Psychology from the
University
of
Winnipeg
and Theology from Canadian
Mennonite
Bible
College. Prior to coming to Education
and Employment Preparation Services,
Carl was a Dean at Rosthern
Junior College
where he was responsible for the welfare of the students living on campus.
Having been with Education
and Employment Preparation Services
since 1993, Carl has worked with learning disabled students, taught learning
strategies and tutored in a variety of fields.
He completed a workshop on Accelerated Brain Based Learning and is an
active volunteer mediator with Mediation Services.
Bernie Baergen; B.A.; B.Ed.
Bernie holds Bachelor degrees in Education and
Arts from the University
of
Manitoba. He taught for seven years in the
Winnipeg
Mennonite
Elementary School
, followed by three years of Adult Education in Kentucky. There he specialized in teaching
literacy and GED. He joined the Education and Employment Preparation Services staff in September
1995.

Services Manager
Terry Titanich
Terry has extensive industry experience
as a small business owner, operating his own painting and decorating company,
Transcona Texturing for about 10 years. Terry is also a certified Glazier and
has worked in this field with Indall Wall Systems, and with Transcona Texturing.
Terry is also trained and employed as a Overhead Door Technician, and been a
Sales Representative and Technician in this profession, most recently with
Ambassador Sales. Terry will be joining Education and Employment Preparation
Services to work as a employment specialist in the CPP project, and assist in
the EAS program.

Rick
Shore; B.Ed.;
M.Ed.
Rick holds a Master’s of Physical Education,
Bachelor of Education in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Math and Chemistry
from the University
of
Manitoba. He has sixteen years of experience
teaching math, physics and chemistry at the high school level and has been
teaching adults since 1996.

Mykael
Sopher; B.Ed; B.Sc
Myk
has been with Education and Employment Preparation Services since he graduated
in 2005 with a Bachelor of Education (Senior Years Concentration) and a Bachelor
of Science (Mathematics). His roles at EEPS range from tutoring / instructing in
Math to tutoring / instructing in computers and English. He has a passionate
interest in reading and writing and recently decided to return part-time to the
University of Winnipeg to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in English Creative Writing.

Raechel
Carson; B.Sc. Hons; B.Ed
Raechel
joined Education and Employment Preparation Services in the fall of 2001. She
holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Theoretical Physics from McMaster
University and a Bachelor of Education with specialization in Intermediate and
Senior Division Mathematics and Physics from University of Western Ontario.
Raechel has taught in the role of a tutor for much of her career so far,
teaching high school, college, and university students a wide variety of
subjects including mathematics, sciences, writing skills, and study skills.

Eric
Fast; B.Ed.; M.Ed
Eric joined Education and Employment
Preparations Services in the fall of 2001.
He comes with a wide background in teaching and administration, including
6 years as a principal. He also
taught for 3 years in
Nigeria
and in
Zambia
for 3 years. More recently, Eric
has taught and served as vice-principal at a Winnipeg
Elementary School. He has a Bachelor of Education and
a Master’s Degree in Cross Cultural Education.
Adminstrative Assistant
Maureen Kroll
The secretary and
receptionist at Education and Employment
Preparation Services is Maureen Kroll. Maureen joined Education and Employment Preparation Services staff in May 2005.
Maureen has become familiar with the kind of services that we offer.
She would be providing support services to students by assisting with
resume processing, ordering supplies and answering telephones.
